These instructions will review the reasons for having the test, how to prepare for it, and how the PFT is performed. This testing is done in our office by a technician, and generally takes about one hour. Your physicain will review the results with you either after the test, or at a subsequest office visit.
Sleep studies are perfomed in our office for both the initial polysomnogram to diagnose the sleep disorder, and for a CPAP Titration Study for sleep apnea patients who will be using a CPAP appliance. The test involves an overnight stay at our office monitored by a certified sleep technician. These instructions will let you know what to expect, and how to prepare for the study.
